Introduce project management and MS Project Online Desktop
- Review the project management concepts: deliverable, objectives, planning, project triangle, etc.
- Initialize the project and draw up objectives, constraints and estimates.
- Choose the appropriate units (time and work) and options.
- Understand and customize the MS Project Online Desktop interface.
- Set the options for MS Project and the active project.

Improve planning
- Analyze the schedule with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Map the PERT network.
- Use the Team Scheduler.
- Identify the margins and the critical path.
- Find overburdened resources and consider solutions.
Visualize a project
- Customize the view: sort, filter, and group tasks.
- Manage diagrams: timeline and calendar.
- Change the time scale.
- Customize the graphical look of a task.
- Generate the various reports: planning, assigned tasks, cost analysis.
Manage a project
- Understand the indicators: reference, consumed, required to finish, progress, estimate to finish.
- Manage the baseline schedule.
- Record the status date and progress.
- Compare projected and actual data.
Have oversight over multiple projects
- Combine resources into a list of shared resources.
- Create a master project and add a subproject to it.
- Link tasks within a master project.
- Manage resource overuse.
